Shared living starts with the right people

Finding a room is only part of finding the right home. We vet prospective flatmates and consider how their age, lifestyle and household expectations may fit with the people already living there. Suitable applicants can meet the existing flatmates before committing, giving everyone the opportunity to decide whether the home feels like the right fit.

Our homes are already established and set up for longer-term shared living, with furnished shared areas and the practical essentials already in place. Moving Spaces also supports the household with property maintenance, regular cleaning and clear shared-living expectations.

House Rules & Etiquette

Good flatshares start with consideration and clear expectations.

Our house guidelines are designed to help everyone enjoy a comfortable, respectful home. We keep them simple and expect all flatmates to use common sense, communicate with each other and be considerate of the people they share with.

Respect Each Other’s Space

Everyone is entitled to enjoy their own room and the shared areas of the home without unreasonable disturbance.

Keep Noise Reasonable

Be considerate of your flatmates, particularly during evenings and overnight. Our homes are shared living environments rather than party houses.

Rooms Are for the Approved Occupants

Only people included in the tenancy may live at the property. Partners or guests cannot effectively move in or stay on an ongoing basis without prior approval.

Look After Your Own Space

You’re responsible for keeping your bedroom and any private ensuite clean and tidy.

Keep Shared Spaces Comfortable

Clean up after yourself and leave kitchens, living areas and shared bathrooms ready for the next person to use. Regular professional cleaning is provided for shared areas, but it doesn’t replace everyday tidying up.

Visitors Are Welcome — With Consideration

Occasional visitors are fine. Let your flatmates know when you’re having someone over and make sure guests don’t disrupt others or regularly occupy the property.

Respect Allocated Bathrooms

Where a bathroom is allocated to a particular room or flatmate, please don’t use it without their permission.

Talk Early if Something Isn’t Working

Most flatting issues are easiest to resolve with a respectful conversation. If you need help, Moving Spaces is available to assist with property or flatmate-related concerns.
